Follow the Tiefer See depending on the wind direction on the side of the Berliner Vorstadt and admire the beautiful villas, or paddle along the opposite side past Babelsberg Park. At the end of the Tiefer See, you’ll have a wonderful view of Potsdam’s city center, the Glienicke Bridge, and Babelsberg Palace.
Paddletip 2: Duration: 2-3 hours Distance: 7 km
From Babelsberg Palace through the Glienicke Bridge to Cecilienhof Palace. This is sightseeing par excellence. Depending on the wind direction, start to the left and stay in the sheltered area. After 1.5 km, you’ll reach the Glienicke Bridge and shortly before, you’ll have a fascinating view of Potsdam’s city center, Babelsberg Palace, and the Glienicke Bridge, arguably the most versatile view of Potsdam. Keep to the left and pass the beautiful wooden blockhouse – Matrosenstation Kongsnaes. Along the Neuer Garten, you’ll see Cecilienhof Palace in the next bay. If you look to the right, you’ll have a great sightline to Pfaueninsel Palace and the Sacrower Heilandskirche.
