To reach our rental system, you can conveniently travel by car or public transportation. There are ample parking facilities available near Fullestrand. Even better, you can reach our location by bicycle along the Fulda Cycle Path.
Our rental system is situated directly on the beach and is accessible daily during daylight hours. Here, you can easily and conveniently rent stand up paddle boards by following the instructions displayed on the machine. The vending machine accepts various payment methods, including credit cards and contactless payment.
After renting your paddleboard, you can launch directly into the Fulda River from Fullestrand. The water is calm, providing ideal conditions for stand-up paddleboarding.
Fullestrand is also a great place to relax after your paddleboarding tour. You’ll find ample green spaces, picnic areas, and even beach bars where you can refresh yourself and soak up the sun before, after, or during your excursion
Starting point: begin your tour at Fullestrand in Kassel. Make sure you have checked your equipment and are ready to hit the water. Paddle downstream from Fullestrand in a northern direction. Enjoy the calm waters of the Fulda River and be amazed by the beautiful surroundings.
After approximately 0.5 km, you will reach Lelands Brücke. Paddle under the bridge and continue your tour downstream until you reach Drahtbrücke. Here, you have reached the halfway point of your tour, having paddled 1.5 km. On your left side, you will now have the Hiroshima-Ufer, where you can take a break and cool off in the water.
After a refreshing swim, continue your paddle tour and turn back against the river’s current, heading south. Enjoy the beautiful view of Kassel on your way back. After approximately 3 km, you will reach Fullestrand again, where you can end your tour.
Starting point: Begin your tour at Fullestrand in Kassel. Make sure you have checked your equipment and are ready to hit the water. Paddle upstream from Fullestrand in a southern direction. On your left side, you will pass by the Fuldaaue and Bugasee. As you continue, you will cross the Gärtnerplatzbrücke and head towards the Damaschkebrücke. By this point, you will have paddled 1 km. Now that you’re warmed up, continue paddling against the current for another 1-1.5 km, passing through the Fuldabrücke until you find a small but lovely bay on your left side, perfect for a short break by the water.
Take the time to rest and relax before continuing with the assistance of the current towards Fullestrand. Please behave responsibly while swimming in the bay. Just a few meters further, underneath the Fuldabrücke A49, you will find the Naturschutzgebiet Waldauer Kiesteiche, where rare and endangered animals and plants are protected.
Enjoy the beautiful view of Kassel on your way back and let the current assist you. After approximately 5 km, you will reach Fullestrand again, where you can end your tour.
