Starting Point: Begin your tour at Fullestrand in Kassel. Make sure you’ve checked your equipment and are ready to hit the water. Paddle upstream from Fullestrand in a southern direction. On your left side, you’ll pass the Fulda meadows and the Bugasee. As you pass by, cross the Gärtnerplatz Bridge and continue towards the Damaschke Bridge. By this point, you’ve paddled 1 km. By now, you’ve warmed up and paddled another 1-1.5 km against the current through the Fuldabrücke until you find a small but nice bay on your left side, perfect for a short break by the water. Take your time and rest a little until you continue with the flow towards Fullestrand. Please behave responsibly when swimming in the bay. Just a few meters further, under the A49 Fuldabrücke, is the Waldauer Kiesteiche nature reserve, where rare and endangered animals and plants are protected. Enjoy the beautiful view of Kassel on the way back and let the current assist you. After about 5 km, you’ll reach Fullestrand again, where you can end your tour.
