Lake Riegsee is idyllically situated in the Upper Bavarian Alpine foothills, 45 minutes south of Munich, and covers an area of 1.8 square kilometers (2.4 km long, 1 km wide). It is a perfect lake for swimming and water sports, with ideal water temperatures ranging from 18°C to 25°C from May through October.
Tour 1: Duration: approx. 1.5 hours · Distance: 2–3 km
From the campground, head south along the western shore to Neuegling Castle, then cross the lake to the village of Riegsee, walk a short distance north along the shore, and return across the lake to the campground
Tour 2: Duration: approx. 3 hours · Distance: approx. 5 km
A leisurely loop around the lake heading south along the shore. Please observe the bird sanctuary in the north
